LuaCheia Core

• It might be better to use the same License as Lua itself, which will be MIT for Lua 5

Ok, then let's go for the MIT license. Let's be pragmatical. --BDM

LuaCheia Modules

• There is a need to distinguish between 'Core' modules, those that are distributed by standard and 'Additional' modules, which can basically be any kind of Lua-Module
• Core Modules, such that are in the basic package should all follow the same License as LuaCheia.
• Optional Modules could have any License desired by their author, as long as that Licence does NOT compromize the License of the LuaCheia package

Licensing Philosophy

LuaCheia should be available to an audience as large as possible. It should be possible to use LuaCheia for any purpose one desires, including commercial closed-source Applications.

LuaCheia must at all times be open to everybody, and the Core should always remain so.

Projects derived from LuaCheia should be allowed to choose their own License.
